The Company is run by Greg Kane who has been a Landman for over 30 years. Mr. Kane’s background includes time with large Oil Companies such as Texaco and Texas International Petroleum doing conventional exploration landwork. Mr Kane has directed the land effort in numerous large exploratory projects such as the Cotton Valley Pinnacle Reef Play and Mississippi Salt Basin Play involving the deployment of several hundreds of millions of dollars and resulting in several major discoveries - but for the last 10 years he has devoted his career to the perfection and systemization of “interest hunting” (the identification and purchase of unleased interests, vacancies and royalties in major discoveries). Sherwood believes it has assembled the necessary skill sets and personnel to be the leading company in Domestic exploration in this niche.
